Proud card-carrying members of the City & Western society, Fibrotown entertained Australian audiences for five years or so years in the 1990s. They featured a four-strong vocal line-up, more guitars than you could poke a cattle prod at, and enough catchy tunes to keep you awake and humming by the campfire long into the night.
Gina Hanlon: Guitar and vocals
Jane McCracken: Guitar, harmonica and vocals
Graeme Cameron: Guitar and vocals
Iain Downie/ Anthony Paine: Bass Guitar & sensational whistling skills
Colleen Keeffe: Drums, percussion and jovial banter.
Fibrotown knew how to rock it up (in a country kind of way), drag you down into the gutter, and had even been known to inspire the odd sleazy pick up situation.
